0.1.0 - The "First Update" Update
Woke up at 2am with the idea to make a modernised version of Crimson Arena. I’ve thought about it for a while since learning Unity, and it’s a small enough project to be getting on with, and maybe I won’t do the usual Jamie Drew thing of letting it get completely out of hand and only months later discovering that it’s no fun to play.
(RIP, Space Team. May we meet again someday.)
I want to keep this as faithful to my memory of the game as possible without trying to add new things to it – just an old-school deathmatch FPS, fast-paced and easy to pick up. I love Overwatch and the like, and I like a Battle Royale well enough, for my sins, but nothing’s quite hit that spot of smack-talking your friends in an edgy 90s arena shooter.
Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this very website. I know you know where it is! You can’t escape me!
